Meow!

So this morning when we asked Little Man what happened he had a huge grin on his face and said that Leo (the cat) must have reached his paw up and pulled the door open. When we told him that Leo can't do that he grinned again and said, "It's a big mystery!" I had to leave the room before I burst out laughing!

Oh! In case you were wondering, the cat survived without any harm.

Love Your Neighbor

Bubby knows some kids who aren't very nice to each other and wants to invite them to church so they can learn to love each other like Jesus says. =)

Listening to the Lord

Little Man is not getting his way in the game of rough-housing and scolds his Daddy, "You're not listening to the Lord! The Lord wants you to listen to Him!" He continues: "God can see what you are doing!"

Daddy: "What is it that God can see me doing?"

Little Man: "Pushing and pinching and stuff"

Daddy: "Does God see you kicking me?"

Little Man: "God told me to do that. That's your punishment" (I bust up laughing) "No laughing!"

Lost & Found

Been missing a Wii remote since Sunday. Today, Thursday, Little Man wanted to play a game with Daddy.

Daddy: We can't play that game. We only have one remote.

Little Man: Oh. Then he gets up, walks out the back door, digs in the pocket of his little lawn chair, and walks back in with the remote.

Daddy: Why didn't you tell us where it was when we asked you?

Little Man: I forgot where I put it.

Analogies from a 6-yr old

Bubby was eating a bowl of mac & cheese mixed with peas and told me he wanted to show me something. I walked over and he said, "Pretend the macaroni is the loaves..." and he counted out five noodles onto his spoon, "and the peas are the fish," and he counted out two peas onto his spoon. Then he picked up his spoon and said, "Jesus took these," and held out his spoon, "and turned them into this!" and dumped his spoon into his bowl full of noodles and peas. "And then the people ate it all up!"

Another Deep Question

We were driving down the road and Bubby, 5, asked, "Why did God make Adam and Eve eat the apple?"

We chuckled and said, "No, God didn't make them eat the apple, they chose to eat the apple."

"But God knew they were going to eat the apple. That doesn't sound like a choice to me." (I know, deep thoughts for a 5 year old!)

After we recovered from shock, Hubby answered, "Think of it like this: Your brother, Little Man, loves cookies, right? And if we leave cookies sitting out he's going to sneak one, right? Well, just because we know he is going to sneak a cookie doesn't mean we make him do it. He still has the choice to do the right thing or sneak a cookie."

Little Man then jumped in, "I would never sneak a cookie, ever!"

When I grow up...

Something Little Man, 3, said to me the other day:

Mama, if you let me sneak food, when I'm a grown up and you are a kid I will give you chocolate!

Why heat rises

Bubby,5, asked me a question the other day that I had trouble answering. I know the answer, but how do I explain it so he will understand. I asked Hubby for help and as usual he came up with the perfect answer.

Bubby's question: Why does heat rise?

Hubby's answer: Imagine we have a whole bunch of grown ups over to our house. They are all downstairs standing around talking. There are so many that it is hard to move around. Now, imagine that you and your friends get bored and want to run around, but there is no room to run. What can you do?

Bubby: Go upstairs?

Hubby: Exactly! Heat rises because the cold air is in the way so the hot air moves up.

Brothers

Little Man loves the VeggieTales song, "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" and likes to sing it a lot. During lunch he started to sing it again. Bubby covered his ears and yelled, "Little Man can you PLEASE take a break from that song???" Little Man stopped singing and said, "You just have to wait. It will be over in no time!" and continued to sing. When he finished he looked at Bubby and said, "There! See?"

It's been a long time...

Wow! It's been a long time since I blogged! I told you I wasn't very good at this thing. =) Well, I have decided to pick it back up again.

I thought I would tell you a little about myself, too. My name is Michelle and I live in North Idaho. I have been married to Hubby (sometimes referred to as Daddy) for almost 10 years and am a mother of three. Sissy is our oldest. She is 16 and spends most of the year with her mom in another state. We have limited time with her in the summer so we try to make the most of it. Bubby comes next. He is 6 and is just finishing Kindergarten. Last is Little Man. He is 4 and full of adventure.

I am in the process of adding a bunch of things I have saved up thinking I would someday post them.

So here you go!

Heaven

Bubby and I have been talking a lot about heaven lately. One morning he asked, "Mama, will we have clothes when we're in heaven?" To which I replied, "I don't know..." He thought about this a minute and then began to giggle. "That would be pretty funny if we didn't...and inappropriate, too!"
